Disclosure: Aliens creep me out.
I grew up watching shows like Sightings and The X-Files, so extraterrestrial imagery has been part of my upbringing. I remember one scene from an Sightings where an alien was crawling across someone’s bed. Even thinking about it gives me the chills!
Second Disclosure: I don’t really believe that aliens exist.
Scientifically, it really doesn’t seem probable! Think of all of the precise factors that have to come into play in order for carbon-based life forms to exist. This planet is the 1 in a googolplex, one-time-only, miracle of miracles… At least that’s what I thought until tonight. Check out this disturbing footage of a UFO over China.
::sidebar:: My wife, meanwhile, suggests that we watch Signs stay up late and be really creeped out for bedtime… I’m getting my tinfoil helmet.
